All you need is a SproutVideo account on a plan that has access to either analytics or engagement data and you\u2019re all set.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Details on the New Analytics API Calls<\/h3>\n<p>With these new calls, you can retrieve data for your account or for a specific video. You can grab data for the entire time your account has been active, or drill down and get data for specific dates.<\/p>\n<p>Just like the analytics tools we offer on our website, the following data is available through the API:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Play counts &amp; Impressions.<\/li>\n<li>Unique play counts &amp; impressions.<\/li>\n<li>The URL of the page where\u00a0your videos were played.<\/li>\n<li>Where, geographically, your videos were played.<\/li>\n<li>Which playback method was used (Flash vs HTML5 Video).<\/li>\n<li>What type of device was used (Desktop Computer, Mobile Device, TV, Game Console, etc\u2026).<\/li>\n<li>Overall engagement data for each video.<\/li>\n<li>Engagement data for individual playback sessions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019ve also updated our <a href=\"https:\/\/sproutvideo.com\/docs\/api.html\">API documentation<\/a> to not only include these new API calls but to add more information about every single API call. Lastly, we\u2019ve added these methods to our <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/sproutvideo\/sproutvideo-rb\">Ruby API client<\/a>\u00a0to support these new calls.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Let us know what you think!
