Well, with SproutVideo\u2019s post-play options<\/a> and MailChimp\u2019s embeddable signup forms, it is very easy. Just follow these simple steps, and you will be collecting emails in no time.<\/p>\n

SproutVideo and MailChimp<\/h3>\n

SproutVideo supports an integration with MailChimp (and other marketing platforms) for pre-play email capture<\/a>\u00a0on all our subscription plan levels. If you want to email-gate your video content, we make it simple and easy to do so.<\/p>\n

This post is about using an email capture form as a post-play screen, meaning it will be displayed once your video concludes. Although this example is specific to MailChimp, you could use a similar approach to implement an HTML signup form from any marketing platform of your choice.<\/p>\n

Generate a Signup Form From MailChimp<\/h3>\n

First, go to the mailing list for which you would like to collect emails. Then, select \u201cSignup Forms\u201d and the \u201cEmbedded Forms\u201d option.<\/p>\n

Next, copy the embed code for the signup form. We recommend using the \u201cSuper Slim\u201d option since it fits nicely within most video players.<\/p>\n

Implement Email Signup Form as a Post Play Screen<\/h3>\n

Now, go to SproutVideo<\/a> and pick the video to which you would like to add the signup form. Click on the \u201cCustomizations\u201d tab, and pick your desired type of video embed code<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Finally, follow these steps to add the Signup Form to the video:<\/p>\n

  1. Click the \u201cPost-Play\u201d button.<\/li>\n
  2. Enable the post-play screen by checking the \u201cUse Post-Play Screen\u201d check box.<\/li>\n
  3. Change the content type to HTML from Text by selecting the \u201cHTML\u201d radio button.<\/li>\n
  4. Paste the embed code you copied from MailChimp into the \u201cPost-Play Message Content\u201d box. Feel free to customize the HTML and CSS to get things looking just right.<\/li>\n
  5. Once you have everything looking exactly the way you like, click the \u201cSave Settings\u201d button.<\/li>\n
