The jokes are sharp because the patterns are familiar. When discernment ministries become an identity and a business model, the goal quietly shifts from protecting people to performing outrage. We also sit with the fallout. False accusations do not stay theoretical, and a culture of public suspicion can cause real believers to stumble, withdraw, or lose trust in God altogether. The question underneath the satire is serious: what does biblical discernment look like when it is truthful, careful, and humble, and how do we confront genuine problems without turning cruelty into content?
