<description>I Bought a Tesla Before My Ataxia Diagnosis—Here's Why I Still Drive It

Do you NEED a Tesla with Full Self-Driving? No. Let's get that out of the way right now.

If you're living with Ataxia, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, or another neurological disorder, you may be wondering if technology like Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) can help you stay independent. In this video, I share why I still drive the Tesla I bought before my Ataxia diagnosis—and how I use it today.

Here's my real setup: I don't drive the Tesla everywhere. Around town, I'm usually in my Ford F-150. The Tesla comes out when I know I'll need the help—heavy traffic, long road trips, or days when fatigue and coordination are working against me. That's the point: it's a tool. You pick the right tool for the job.

I've been lucky enough to own a lot of different cars, but I'll always have a Tesla because it's that good. Tesla doesn't talk enough about how helpful this technology can be for people with disabilities. Whether you're living with Ataxia, MS, Parkinson's, recovering from a stroke, or dealing with neuropathy, features like Tesla FSD can make driving less stressful when used responsibly.

At Living With Ataxia (LWA), everything we do is about one thing: helping people build more independence—today, not someday. Driving is a huge part of independent living, and for many people with neurological disorders, keeping that independence matters.

My recovery didn't come from a Tesla. It came from building the right foundation through ataxia recovery, neurological recovery, proper nutrition, exercise, and consistent nervous system training. The Tesla is simply another tool that helps me stay independent.

If you're interested in learning the approach we teach at LWA, every package includes a FREE 30-minute Zoom consultation.
