Head of Marketing

We have big plans for the future of our platform, so we are looking for an experienced and well-rounded B2B SaaS marketer to join our growing team! The ideal candidate is a collaborative, data-driven leader, with expertise in search and content marketing, social media marketing, video marketing, and paid campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the marketing team in an inclusive and collaborative manner.

  • Analyze and track competitive landscape and consumer trends that may impact market positioning.

  • Establish and continually refine SproutVideo’s go-to-market strategy.

  • Focus on experimentation and growth driven by new user acquisition and brand awareness.

  • Be the resident expert on the SproutVideo customer. Identify and understand high value customer relationships. Develop reliable customer personas, and map the customer journey to ensure key touchpoints are being targeted in campaigns.

  • Collaborate and work closely with the Creative Director on all creative content, including new video campaigns and live stream programming.

  • Work with the marketing team to manage and craft the content calendar to produce compelling blog posts, social content, videos, and live streams against deadlines.

  • Manage paid campaigns, including Google Ads, retargeting, and social media ads (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, Youtube).

  • Continually improve the marketing site, landing pages, and any other public-facing pages of SproutVideo’s web presence to support branding and drive conversion rates.

  • Improve technical SEO across SproutVideo’s web properties, and ensure all updates and best practices are implemented in a timely manner as applicable.

  • Manage CRM platform (HubSpot), including email campaigns, landing pages, and automated workflows.

  • Work closely with the Marketing Content Strategist to attract new fans and followers to SproutVideo’s social media pages and spark organic engagement.

  • Coordinate with the Head of Product on product marketing campaigns to drive feature uptake, support successful product launches, and customer retention / churn reduction.

  • Report on marketing campaign performance on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in B2B SaaS companies as a marketer, with recent experience managing and growing a team.

  • Exceptional writing skills with extensive experience publishing written short-form and long-form content. Experience scripting for video is a plus.

  • Data analysis: a clear understanding of how to track and apply KPIs to marketing decisions.

  • Solid presentations skills: comfortable making formal presentations, whether publicly or internally, and appearing on camera for VOD or live streams.

  • Extensive experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns for a B2B tech company.

  • Long-term planning; able to look at the big picture for all marketing efforts and anticipate content needs despite uncertainty or ambiguity.

  • Expert-level experience working with Google Ads. Familiarity with Google Analytics, HubSpot, Wordpress, and all major social ad platforms.

  • Experience with sales enablement, account-based marketing, or pitching to enterprise clients a plus.

  • Advanced degrees in marketing, data science, psychology, business administration, or related fields a plus.
