Video Websites

• Improved: We’ve added spam detection to lead capture (email gate) forms on SproutVideo-hosted video websites and email embed codes. Submissions from bots are now blocked automatically. No action is required, and legitimate submissions are unaffected.

Video Websites

• Improved: [All Themes] Viewer progress indicators now appear on related videos on your video landing pages. This was previously only available on the Maple theme, and is now available for all themes. Progress indicators appear when ‘Track Viewer Progress for Videos’ is enabled for your site.

API

• New: The subtitles API response now includes an automated_subtitles object, so you can tell whether automated subtitles are still processing, have finished, or no speech was detected in the video. Each subtitle object also includes a new is_automated field to distinguish automated subtitles from ones you uploaded yourself. Learn more about the Subtitles API.

Video Source Downloads

• Improved: Downloads of video source files are now faster and more reliable, with the file size limit increased from 20GB to 50GB.

Video Websites

• New: We have added the option to add custom text to the Viewer Login page of your SproutVideo-hosted video website. You can find this new setting in the “Advanced” tab of the Site Editor.

Video Encoding

• Improved: Added support for APV codec (Advanced Professional Video).

Exportable Reports

• Improved: The exportable Videos Overview report now includes a column to indicate if a video is listed or unlisted from your SproutVideo-hosted website.
