Getting Started with SproutVideo
This video covers everything you need to know to get started, from uploading, importing and organizing videos, to changing privacy settings for sharing your content.
Upload or Import a Video or Create a Live Stream
The first thing you’ll want to do is upload your first video file or even import a video from services like Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or Box. You can also create your first live stream..
Select a Privacy Setting
By default, all videos uploaded and live streams created with our platform are set to Private. Private videos will not appear on your video website or landing pages. Private videos can only be shared if they are embedded on an external website using the embed code we provide.
In order to share a link with your viewer, you’ll need to set the privacy setting to Public, Password Protected, or Login Protected. You can read more about each privacy setting here.
Customize your Video Website or your Embed Code
After you’ve uploaded a video and adjusted the privacy settings as needed, you can either customize the video website or landing page where that video will appear, or you can customize the embed code to display the video on an external website.
Sharing your Video
Now that your video website or landing page has been customized, you are ready to share the video. To share your video, you can copy the Share Video URL we provide and send that to your viewers.
If you’ve embedded your video, share the page where the video is embedded instead.
Adding a Team Member
If you have multiple employees that need to share one SproutVideo account, you can invite additional team members to have access to your SproutVideo account. Team Members can upload, share, and edit content within your account.
Those are just the basic steps most SproutVideo customers need to take to get started on our platform. If you want to take things further, you can take advantage of our video marketing features, enable integrations, and track your videos’ performance with powerful analytics.
