What Is MLS Compliance
An MLS (Multiple Listing Service) is a database where real estate brokers share listings. Most MLS platforms have strict requirements regarding video hosting, often prohibiting third-party branding. With SproutVideo, you can host professional and unbranded content to stay compliant.
Steps to Make Your SproutVideo Account MLS Compliant
Adjust the following settings in your account for it to be MLS compliant:
-
Choose a generic URL for your account instead of one that refences your company name. This link explains how to change the URL for your videos.
-
Disable the SproutVideo logo from appearing on your video website. This link explains how to disable the SproutVideo logo.
-
You may also need to change your copyright information. By default, we will use the company name specified in your Account Settings for the copyright label in your site footer. If you’d like to display a generic copyright name on your site, you can modify that in the Personalize tab of your Site Editor. This link also explains how to change your copyright name.
Tip:Enter
in the ‘Copyright Name’ field to create a blank space if you prefer no name. The © and year will still appear at the bottom of your landing pages.
Once these settings are changed, your account will be MLS compliant!
